The book The Giver was about this perfect world, where nothing bad happens. Jonas and the community think they live in this perfect world, but Jonas is starting to figure out that his community isn’t so perfect after all! The Giver is starting to teach Jonas about being a receiver, and getting all these memories. Jonas and The Giver are the only ones that know these memories, have feelings.
In The Giver the author wants you to know what makes us human. The author gives you detail of what they are like, look like, and I think they look like, and act like they are like robots. These people don’t even pick there jobs, they are chose for them. I agree with the author that these people are like robots. I think this because they don’t have feelings, or memories of things.
I would rate this book as three and a half because it wasn’t a great book, but it wasn’t a bad book. I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I did other. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy speculative fiction books, and I would also recommend this book to people who like made-up characters and a little surprise too, because it’s pretty much fake and fairy-tale!
